Checking the dimensions of castings takes place on modern CMM measuring machines. The surface of the castings is laser or optically scanned. The output is then compared with the ideal 3D model in the ZEISS or GOM INSPECT programmes. With this fast and above all accurate method of measurement, we verify the suitability of casting samples before the customer’s approval and the start of serial production. The machined parts are measured on CMM measuring machines by the touch method with ZEISS CALYPSO measuring software, including the evaluation of curves. We have the MITUTOYO and MAHR profilometers available for special measuring tasks. We measure roughness on the MITUTOYO and MAHR roughness gauges.
