Mechanical testing of materials

Mechanical tests of castings are performed using a UTSE-TS1 tearing machine and the HECKERT and ŠKODA hardness testers. Based on customer requirements, all measured values (yield strength, ductility) are automatically stored and archived for a period of 15 years. The measurement of the hardness of the material according to Brinell takes place for castings. It happens at a predetermined place according to the customer’s specifications. Then it is stored in the central material database. Depending on the size of the casting, we use balls with a diameter of 5 or 10 mm. The hardness of materials other than gray and ductile iron can be evaluated according to Rockwell and Wickers. All measuring instruments used operate in calibration mode and are regularly verified by accredited laboratories to achieve the best possible result.
